gamecollecting beta 0.9.0 @gamecollecting

Version

This is beta and it moves most days. Stores get added, the way things are grouped gets rewritten, and layouts change. If something looks wrong or disappears, that is usually me in the middle of changing it rather than a store doing something strange.

Beta also means the price history is shallow. It started on the date below and only gets deeper from here.

What this is

gamecollecting.net tracks physical game releases from boutique publishers, and current sales on the digital stores. One page instead of five.

How it pays for itself

No ads. No sponsored spots. Nothing is ranked by who pays.

Some outbound links may become affiliate links later, which means a purchase could earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. If that happens the page will say so. It will not change what gets listed or the order things appear in. Sorting is by price, date or discount.

The data is a guide, not a source of truth

Everything is read from each store's own public feed every 15 minutes. Listings can be stale by a few minutes, sometimes longer if a store's feed is slow or down. Stock and pricing move faster than that.

Check the store page before you buy. If this site disagrees with the retailer, the retailer is right. Prices are USD and do not include tax or shipping. Sold out and preorder states are the most likely to be wrong.

Data collection

Price history starts on that date. It only gets recorded going forward and there is no way to backfill it, so the longer range highs and lows will mean a lot more in a few months than they do today.

Sources

Physical: Limited Run Games, Super Rare Games, iam8bit, Premium Edition Games, Lootbox Gaming.
Digital: Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store.

The data comes from public APIs those stores publish. This site is not affiliated with any of them. Product names, logos and cover art belong to their owners.
